Chinese poles are
nothing but vertical poles that are used by the circus performers for climbing,
sliding down and even holding different types of poses. These poles have a
height of 3 to 9 meters and in diameter they are approximately of 2 to 3
inches. Some of the Chinese poles have larger poles that generally rotate round
the static central pole having ball bearings. The rotating poles allow a
performer to easily spin on the vertical axis that gives the performer the
ability to properly incorporate the rate of spin into something that would
otherwise be a static move. When a person comes closer to the pole, it helps
that person to spin faster and spin smoothly. Do you know that there are a few Chinese
pole tricks that are finely incorporated with the pole dancing techniques? This
is a fact and you should definitely know about it.
Chinese poles are
sometimes covered with rubber that helps in improvement of the grip. Also it is
said that the rubber can cause different types of friction burns on the part of
the bodies of Chinese pole artists. The acrobats are bound to wear multiple
layer of clothing that prevents them from burning and bruises. The famous and
the most popular Chinese pole trick
is the flag. This is an act where the artist hangs straight out from the pole with
the help of his hands. This particular act requires strong and flexible upper
body. A few people are capable of doing pushups in this particular position and
few of them rotate their legs around the circle that basically requires
enormous core strength.
